The 12th Young Gun Of Wine Awards have been announced at MONA in Hobart, celebrating the new wave of Australian winemakers. Rob Mack from McLaren Vale’s Aphelion took the top trophy, while Best New Act is Jonny Hughes of Tassie’s Mewstone Wines. People’s Choice went to Melanie Chester of Sutton Grange in Central Victoria and Winemaker’s Choice went to another Tasmanian winery: Paul and Gilli Lipscombe of Sailor Seeks Horse.
