This wine is the pinnacle expression from our Sutton Grange farm. Aromas of fresh citrus and orange rind. The mouth-feel is medium bodied, with peach and apricot hints. The tight core balances the concentration in the palate with a phenolic texture on the finish.
Sourced from the lowest twenty rows of Sutton Grange Winery’s 2002 planted Viognier block. Cooler and sheltered, this section is frost-prone, but produces a low crop of concentrated fruit from well balanced, spur pruned vines.
Whole bunch pressed and cold settled before racking to 100% concrete for wild fermentation and 6 months maturation on gross lees. Bottled Oct 2022
